Kids Creative Pins

Kids Creative Pins

Thank goodness for Grandma and Grand-Dad, who were able to come up for a week during spring break to watch my kids.  In my mom’s usually crafty style there were lots of kid friendly crafts done and this is one of my favorites, which my kids adored.  These kids creative pins were so cute, creative, affordable, and easy!  The kids loved it so much they wanted to film it for our first ever LIVE vlog episode.

Simple Steps:

  1. Washi Tape Clothespin
  2. Glue Cardstock shapes to front and back
  3. Embellish using more shapes, pens, stickers, etc.

1.  Washi Tape Clothespin

Using washi tape is definitely optional.  Adding washi tape was step 1 and it gave a nice clean look to the finished product.

2. Glue Cardstock Shapes

The shapes shown here were cut out using a die cut machine to produce shapes approximately 2 inches in diameter.  Though the Cricut is definitely better when cutting multiples of the same shapes. Each pin had a shape glued to the front and the back, more toward the bottom so the clothespin was still functional.

3. Embellish

The last and most fun step was decorating the pins with pens, stickers, and more shapes!  Below are pictures of the kids creative pins produced by my mom and children.  There are several easy ways to make Sesame Street characters using simple shapes put together.

Floral shapes and butterfly stickers.

Viola!  The pins are done and ready to clip papers, decorate a work spaces, and serve as cute accessories anywhere.  I loved the pins so much that I added them to this cool project I’m finishing up and will go through in detail very soon!
