Step by Step Instructions For How to use a Foil Quill with a Cricut Joy
- Line up the Foil Quill with a Cricut Joy pen and mark the line on the Foil Quill that corresponds to the ridge on the pen.
- Add a small rubber band to the Foil Quill on that line
- Place the Foil Quill in the Cricut Joy pen slot, lock in place, and plug into a USB to heat up
- While heating, place the metal protective plate under to Foil Quill tip to protect the machine
- Use masking or washi tape to secure the heat sensitive foil onto the material to be foiled as smoothly as possible
- Choose a project using Cricut design space and feed into the machine to make it

- Remove the Cricut A slot adaptor by gently pressing down until it snapped out.
- Screw the “C” adaptor onto the Foil Quill and gently snap into the Cricut A pen slot until it clicks
