Watch the YouTube Video to see how to make ear savers on a Cricut Joy.

I LOVE my Cricut Joy. It’s the super cute baby Yoda of the Cricut World and it makes some amazing projects. Ear savers are used to hold ear loops from a mask off the back of the ears. It gets very irritating to have the loops behind the ears after a full day of mask wearing. See how easy it is to cut ear savers on a Cricut Joy. Below are the step-by-step instructions.

Step 1

Prep the acetate (clear plastic sheet) material. Cut down the acetate to 4.5 inches wide. Place the acetate on a mat and tape down the edges with masking tape to hold in place.

Step 2

Search for ear savers on Cricut design space. Click customize. Change the size of the ear saver to 6.25 inches long to make it fit perfectly on a smaller 4.5 by 6.5 inch Cricut joy mat. If a longer 12 inch mat is available then the ear savers can be made to the standard pattern sizes: Large 8 inches or Medium 7 inches.

Step 3

Click make it. Increase the number of project copies to the amount that will fit, 3-4 depending on how they are arranged on the mat. Click continue and select the Cricut Joy. Set the material to Foil Acetate.

Step 4

Insert the mat into the Cricut Joy, which will align the material and ensure that there is enough material for the design.

Step 5

Click “Go,” and let the Cricut Joy cut out the design. After completion, click “Unload.” Remove your completed ear savers.
