Kids Christmas Crafts
Looking for fun kids Christmas crafts and activities, then this post is for you! We spent an amazing time on Kauai over the Thanksgiving break. It was all family time with my parents, sister, and grandparents. All credit goes to my crafty mother because it was full of some amazing crafts and activities that were easy and fun for the kids to do and this post is meant to inspire that Christmas spirit with some minimalist kids Christmas crafts.
I define my minimalist crafting as using the minimal amount of time, supplies, and effort necessary to still produce a great craft. When choosing crafts for my kids it has to be easy enough for them to do and also fun while they do it.

Christmas Stockings
This is a wonderful kids Christmas craft that hopefully all kids get to enjoy sometime in their childhood. Basically you can either buy or make a stocking and then decorate them with Christmas themed embellishments. There are tons of ready to buy embellishments for decorating. Feel free to use stickers and paint as well. My kids glued on their pre-made Christmas embellishments and then used permanent markers to draw on their stockings. Later we used the Cricut to cut out their names. Super fast and easy and then you have a stocking ready to be filled by Santa, or grandma and grand-dad.
Stockings available on Amazon and AliExpress.
Glitter and Snowy Pinecones
Pinecones can be collected and found for FREE. Our pinecones were found in Kokee. You can of course buy pinecones as well. Use spray adhesive and sprinkle on the glitter. The other option is to paint them white first, then sprinkle on glitter. The glittered and snowy pinecones themselves can be placed all around the house as decorations. Attach a looped ribbon in the color of your choice and it becomes an ornament. Pre-made glittered pinecones can be bought, but then where is the fun in that?

Painted Ornaments
Old ornaments can be upcycled simply by letting the kids paint them with acrylic based paint. Now you’ve got a unique, one-of-a-kind, handmade ornament. My kids had tons of fun painting on these clear glass ornaments, but feel free to use whatever ornaments you can find or have on hand.

Sea Treasure Wreaths
These super cute shells and sea glass wreaths were for sale through SeaBlossomHawaii and I thought it was a wonderfully clever idea. A day at the beach with the kids over Thanksgiving resulted in a huge handful of treasures. We found a whole bunch of sea glass and shells. Pick out some banana polka vines or driftwood and glue together in a wreath shape and you have an ornament to save and show off your treasures.
Perler Beads
This craft was curtesy of my sister who does Perler beads. Basically you place these cylindrical shaped beads in a pattern, iron, and you can produce characters and shapes. They make great kids created Christmas gifts. Below are examples of some super cute perler bead patterns I found on Pinterest.
Amazon and AliExpress options have free shipping for Perler beads.
Hopefully these ideas and pictures will stimulate some easy kids Christmas crafts for this holiday season. Please let me know if you have any questions or tell me about minimalist kids crafts you do with your kids.
